INDICATIONS

  • For the treatment of both bacterial and fungal pyoderma in dogs.
  • For fungal skin conditions caused by Malassezia that has an associated seborrhoea & also as an aid in treating fungal overgrowth involving Microsporum spp. and Trichophyton spp.

Non-ionic Spherulites - These spherulites diffuse into the cells of the epidermis carrying the active ingredient (Chlorhexidine).

Chlorhexidine - Chlorhexidine is a potent antibacterial. It has a non-specific mode of action – it binds to the negatively charged surface of bacteria and fungi and depending on its’ concentration, exerts either a bactericidal, fungicidal or bacteriostatic effect. Pyoderm S contains 3% Chlorhexidine which has been shown to be highly effective against Staphylococcus intermedius, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Malassezia pachydermatitis.

RECOMMENDED FOR

  • Dogs affected by superfi cial dermatitis associated with Malassezia pachydermatis and Staphylococcus intermedius.

3% Chlorhexidine Gluconate 30 g/L
Chlorhexidine Acetate 2 g/L
Free Chitosanide

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  1. Shake bottle well before use.
  2. Wet coat thoroughly with warm water.
  3. Massage evenly into a thick foam on the skin & coat, applying more as needed.
  4. Allow the lather to remain on the skin 10 minutes before rinsing well.
  • Repeat twice weekly or as directed by your veterinarian.
