Dr. Michelle Kutzler graduated from Washington State University and worked in private practice in Minnesota for four years before going to Cornell University to pursue a theriogenology residency. She stayed on at Cornell University to complete a PHD in Physiology. Since 2002, Dr. Kutzler has been at Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon. She has published widely in the area of non-surgical sterilization as well as the long-term adverse health effects of spaying and neutering. Since 1999, Dr. Kutzler has been an active member of the American College of Theriogenologists serving as an officer and on several committees. In addition, Dr. Kutzler has been an active member of the Society for Theriogenology (SFT) and is currently on the SFT Board of Directors. Dr. Kutzler is also on the Scientific Advisory Committee for the Alliance for Contraception in Cats and Dogs and the Chair of the Scientific Committee for the 2022 International Symposium on Canine and Feline Reproduction. Dr. Kutzler is an AKC Breeder of Merit with her Dachshunds. Dr. Kutzler and her husband (Sean) of 26 years have 3 amazing children, including one who is a practicing veterinarian in Minnesota.
