  • Industrial Development Manager (Macquarie Park, NSW)

    We have a unique opportunity available for someone interested in joining the Macquarie Park team where you can help shape and grow the business. This is an ideal opportunity for you to increase your knowledge of the business, gaining valuable hands-on experience and advancing your career in Virbac.

    Reporting to the Head of Macquarie Park Site, you will be responsible for implementing and managing project related activities that will increase site capacity, providing technical assistance and enabling technology transfer. In addition, you will manage validation activities on site.

    Your key areas of accountability will include:

    • People Management
    • Project and Capital Management
    • Continuous Improvement
    • Technology Implementation
    • Validation

    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • Demonstrated knowledge of HR practices associated with People Management
    • Expertise in technical details of peptide chemistry and pharmaceutical manufacture, including sterility assurance and manufacture of low bioburden/terminally sterilised products
    • Ability to evaluate data and technical reports
    • Expertise in Project Management and Technology transfer and implementation of technical solutions and improvements Expertise in GAMP 5 requirements for computer system validation
    • Sound knowledge of GMP and the current regulatory environment with regard to TGA, APVMA, EMA and US FDA and how they impact on current procedures and future improvements
    • An understanding of financial issues related to industrial activity

    Strong problem solving and communication skills are essential. You will have excellent ability to analyse problems and situations and implement change. Ability to work cross functionally and drive results are equally important.

  • Production Manager (Crookwell, NSW)

    We have a great opportunity for someone to join our Crookwell team in the role of Production Manager. This is an ideal opportunity for you to increase your knowledge of the business and learn new skills.

    In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the scheduling, maintenance and manufacturing activities based on customer needs, production and facility optimisation and regulatory compliance in order to guarantee products are produced under the best performance, quality, dead line and cost conditions. In this role you will be responsible for directing the daily activities of the production team as well as finished goods transfers in order to ensure adherence with the site master schedule liaising with planning.

    Your key areas of accountability for this role will include:

    • People Management – to create, develop and retain an aligned, high-performing, motivated team of people to achieve the desired outcomes of the department.
    • Maintaining product supply to meet demand – to meet the master production schedule in order to minimise backorders and increase DIFOT
    • Administrative tasks including Movex transactions
    • Quality and compliance – to meet existing and future regulatory requirements
    • Production optimisation and project management – to meet the required goals of productivity/continuous improvement and achieve project completions within set timeframes
    • Operating within approved budget – ensure budget targets are met an all CAPEX requests are prepared in theagreed time frame.

    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • Knowledge of HR practices associated with management of people
    • Thorough knowledge or production manufacturing processes and regulations
    • Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical industry and compliance regulations with the ability to interpret standards and guidance documents
    • General business knowledge of budget management
    • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement concepts
    • Experience using ERP systems (Movex).

    You will need a strong customer focus in this role with demonstrated drive and results orientation. Your ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team and cross functionally is essential. An ability to anticipate and plan, and analyse problems is also important.
