WHAT IS CYDECTIN® PLUS FLUKE?

  • Contains moxidectin – the most potent ML
  • Broad spectrum roundworm control
  • 28 days persistent activity against barber’s pole worm and 14 days against small brown stomach worm
  • Controls all three stages of liver fluke (early immature, immature and adult)
  • Ideal for highly contaminated pastures

WHY CHOOSE CYDECTIN PLUS FLUKE?

  • Contains moxidectin
Moxidectin is the most potent member of the macrocyclic lactone (ML) family of drenches, meaning it can kill worms resistant to ivermectin and abamectin.

  • Contains triclabendazole
Triclabendazole is the most effective oral fluke drench. It kills all three stages of liver fluke, which can deliver productivity benefits in sheep.

  • Broad spectrum parasite control
CYDECTIN PLUS FLUKE is highly effective against all major internal parasites that are susceptible to an ML drench, including gastrointestinal roundworms and large lungworm. These worms can reduce overall productivity, especially in young animals. Weight gains and wool growth can be reduced significantly. CYDECTIN PLUS FLUKE also controls liver fluke and itch mite.

  • Persistent activity
CYDECTIN PLUS FLUKE prevents reinfection with Ostertagia spp (small brown stomach worm) for at least 14 days, and with barber’s pole worm (Haemonchus contortus) for at least 28 days. It prevents pasture contamination by Ostertagia spp eggs for at least 35 days and by barber’s pole worm (Haemonchus contortus) eggs for at least 42 days. Persistent activity is important when there is significant pasture contamination, as it can delay the need for subsequent drenching by reducing pasture contamination by worm eggs.

  • Safety
CYDECTIN PLUS FLUKE has a wide margin of safety when used as recommended, and is readily accepted by sheep. It can be safely used concurrently with other treatments including mineral supplements and vaccines
