For the active immunisation of sheep, cattle and pigs against anthrax disease caused by Bacillus anthracis.

WHAT IS ANTHRAX VACCINE?

Single injection for protection against anthrax

COMPOSITION

Bacillus anthracis (Sterne 34F2 Strain)

DOSAGE & DIRECTIONS FOR USE

  • Cattle: 1 mL
  • Sheep: 0.5 mL
  • Pigs: 1 mL

Inject subcutaneously.

Inject high on the neck behind the ear if possible

WITHHOLDING PERIODS

  • Meat: DO NOT USE less than 42 days before slaughter for human consumption.
  • Export Slaughter Interval (ESI): DO NOT USE less than 42 days before slaughter for export.
  • Milk: Nil

STORAGE

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Store between 2ºC and 8ºC. (Refrigerate. Do not freeze). Protect from light.

Use entire container within 12 hours of opening.

Liquid: 50mL

RESTRAINT

Use only with the prior permission of the chief veterinary officer of the relevant state.

APPLICATION PROCESS

An Application and Authority to use Anthrax Vaccines must be filled out.

You must gain authority from the chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) or delegate. (To find your local CVO please contact Virbac customer service on 1800 242 100)

The application must accompany the purchase order through your nominated store and emailed to orders@virbac.com.au

Virbac will process and approve the application. The document is valid for three months from date of authorisation.
